Real Kitchen: A Rebranding Case Study

Updated: Jan 20

Real Kitchen, located in Kyrenia, Cyprus, was formerly known as “Fit & More.” While the name suggested a focus on healthy meals, it inadvertently narrowed the brand’s appeal and didn’t reflect the diverse offerings available. This led to a lack of customer engagement and sales.

We rebranded the restaurant by changing its name to “Real Kitchen” and refreshing its visual identity to better represent the restaurant's wide range of offerings, making it more accessible and inviting to all. The new branding reflects the authentic, wholesome food Real Kitchen provides, whether it’s healthy meals or indulgent favorites.

Key Changes

1. A Name That Speaks to Everyone

The name “Real Kitchen” was chosen to reflect the brand's inclusivity, offering real, delicious food for a variety of dietary needs. This name shift helped the restaurant connect better with its target audience and become more memorable.

2. A Menu for Every Need

The expanded menu now caters to various dietary preferences, from healthy to comfort foods, ensuring that everyone can find something they enjoy without compromising on taste or quality.

3. A Strong Visual Identity

A key element of this rebranding was the overhaul of Real Kitchen’s visual brand identity. The logo, color scheme, and typography were redesigned to create a modern, clean, and approachable look. This visual identity makeover helped establish a clear and consistent brand presence across all platforms, enhancing customer recognition and trust.

4. Building Emotional Connections

In addition to the visual changes, we worked to deepen the connection between the brand and its customers. Through behind-the-scenes content, team stories, and a focus on transparency, we showcased the human side of Real Kitchen, fostering trust and turning casual customers into loyal supporters.

5. Broader Communication Strategy

We also worked with local influencers from diverse backgrounds to emphasize how Real Kitchen fits seamlessly into different lifestyles. These partnerships helped spread the brand’s message, demonstrating that Real Kitchen is not just a place to eat—it’s a lifestyle choice for many.

Phenomenal Stories: Real Kitchen in Action

We collaborated with key influencers to demonstrate how Real Kitchen resonates with various customer segments:

  • The Dietitian: A well-known Cypriot dietitian shared how Real Kitchen’s versatile menu supports her health-conscious clients by offering clean, nutrient-dense meals for various dietary goals.

  • The Nigerian Music Producer: A popular figure in the local African community, he described how Real Kitchen provided him with nutritious, quality meals despite his busy, on-the-go lifestyle.

  • The Turkmen Student: A university student shared how Real Kitchen’s affordable, tasty meals became a favorite among his peers during study breaks.

  • The Ukrainian Personal Trainer: She highlighted how Real Kitchen’s menu became a key part of her own fitness routine and that of her clients, offering the perfect pre- and post-workout meals.

  • The German Stylist: A personal stylist discussed how Real Kitchen’s ambiance and artisan menu served as a welcome break between client appointments, making it an ideal place for relaxation and refreshment.

Results

The rebranding—coupled with the new visual identity and menu—resulted in significant increases in customer engagement and sales. However, the most valuable outcome was the deep emotional connection we created with customers. Real Kitchen is no longer just a restaurant; it’s a community, a trusted partner in healthy living, and a space where people can relax, enjoy, and connect.
